Transcription: We compared the human swallowing of a laboratory mouse with a reconstructed diplodocus swallowing of a Labrador retriever, thereby keeping the size ratio a constant. The throat travel times of 4.2 seconds for the human and 1,689.7 seconds for the diplodocus were equal when adjusted for the difference in actual throat lengths. An anatomical comparison of the Homo sapiens and the Diplodocus reveals only one similar feature, the neck.
